[Mirror Implementation Case] Safety measures during crowded times in train station restrooms!

Preventing head-on collisions at the restroom entrance! A mirror with a blurred effect for privacy (Saitama Rapid Railway, Urawa-Misono Station).

We would like to introduce a case where the mirrors we handle were implemented at Saitama Rapid Railway (Urawa Misato Station). Urawa Misato Station sometimes experiences a concentration of customers during events. In response to a request from station staff to take measures to prevent customers from colliding with each other when entering and exiting the restrooms, mirrors were installed. "We received feedback that thanks to the mirrors, station staff can anticipate the presence of people on the other side when they enter the restrooms during their patrols, which helps prevent collisions at the entrances and exits." [Case Study] ■ Product Used: FF Mirror Awareness ■ Customer Feedback: It is helpful in preventing collisions at the restroom entrances and exits. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Mirror Introduction Case] Collision avoidance while considering privacy!

Introducing a case of collision avoidance using a mirror with a blurred effect, while considering privacy! (Hitachi Transport System, Metropolitan Area)

We would like to introduce a case study of the "FF Mirror with Blurring" handled by Komi Corporation, implemented at Hitachi Logistics Metropolitan Area. They were considering installing mirrors as a safety measure in their newly established warehouse, and they believed that the corridor in front of the restroom posed a risk of collision. Therefore, when they tried our product with "blurring processing" for the first time, it proved to be very effective for the intended purpose (reducing the risk of collisions when entering and exiting the restroom). Furthermore, the "blurring" not only demonstrates an actual "effect of protecting privacy" but also allows them to appeal internally that they are "considerate of privacy," enabling them to confidently implement it comprehensively. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Mirror Implementation Case] We were able to avoid an accident with the mirror!

The green caution plate is effective! It is visible when people approach, and stopping helps avoid accidents! (N Company Safety and Disaster Prevention Office)

We would like to introduce a case where the 'FF Mirror Corridor (for left and right use)' handled by Komi Corporation was implemented at the Safety and Disaster Prevention Promotion Office of Company N. First, it was installed in the office. There were continuous requests from other buildings saying, "We want one installed here too," and we installed it each time. We always attach the optional caution plate. It is in green to indicate safety, and we also like its charming design. There were comments from employees in near-miss reports stating, "We were able to confirm the approach of a person and avoid an accident by stopping." *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[Mirror Introduction Case] Safe Operation of Forklifts with Mirrors!

We will introduce a case where mirrors were installed because it is very dangerous for forklift operators to be unable to notice pedestrians! (From G-Tect)

We would like to introduce a case study of the 'FF Mirror Vehicle Exit' handled by Komi Corporation, implemented at G-Tect. The communication points at the eight warehouses and factories were very dangerous even when coming to a complete stop. The remark from an employee, "You can't see pedestrians from the forklift," prompted us to install mirrors on both sides of all communication points. We confirmed the visibility of this product, which seemed to provide a better sense of distance, through a free rental program before making the purchase. Driving forklifts near the communication points has become much safer, helping to prevent collisions. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

[Mirror Introduction Case] Smooth Walking Training in the Rehabilitation Floor!

A big difference between "having" and "not having"! A case where walking training in the rehabilitation floor was achieved without disrupting the pace (Azusawa Hospital).

We would like to introduce a case study of the mirror "Rami" handled by Komi Corporation, which has been implemented at Azukizawa Hospital. In the rehabilitation department located on the 4th floor of the hospital, the hallway is used as a walking training circuit. Patients undergoing training have previously walked cautiously around corners, fearing collisions. As a result, their walking pace slowed down, making accurate measurements difficult, and it sometimes did not contribute to effective rehabilitation. Since the installation of this product, patients can check for safety without stopping, allowing them to walk without disrupting their pace. It is also used for checking both sides when exiting the restroom and for confirming when bringing a stretcher out of the bathroom. [Case Overview] ■ Product Used: Rami ■ Effect: Safety checks can be performed without stopping *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Mirror Implementation Case] Safety checks when exiting the backroom to the store!

A case where it became possible to check customers coming from both sides using a mirror when exiting the store from the backyard (Aeon Mall Kawaguchi Maekawa).

We would like to introduce a case where the mirrors we handle were implemented at Aeon Mall Kawaguchi Maekawa. At Aeon Mall Kawaguchi Maekawa, there was a concern about the passage from the back yard to the store being dangerous due to the frequent movement of carts. By installing mirrors, employees can now check for customers coming from both sides when exiting the back yard to the store. From the customers' perspective, they can see the employees coming out through the mirror, and for cleaning staff and employees entering and exiting with carts, the mirrors serve as a reminder to be cautious, leading them to stop momentarily, thus contributing to safety measures. [Case Overview] ■ Product Used: FF Mirror ■ Effect: Contributing to safety measures *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Just by sticking it on, a dangerous place instantly becomes a safe environment! A case where contact accidents have been eliminated (Ginza Aster).

We would like to introduce a case where the mirrors we handle were implemented at Ginza Aster. In particular, there were one or two locations in each store where collisions could potentially occur, such as areas connecting the kitchen and the dining area, where employees might come into contact with each other or with customers. To address this, we installed our 'FF Mirror Passage.' Some employees have even said, "Our perspective has changed" after seeing this mirror. The number of contact incidents has decreased, and the effect has been tremendous. Safety Measures: Case Study on the Introduction of Mirrors for Safety Measures at Apartment Parking Lot Entrances and Exits.

Safety check at the entrance and exit of the parking lot's landscaping! (CENTER RESIDENCE)

We would like to introduce the feedback from CENTER RESIDENCE, who implemented FF mirrors for vehicle exits and FF mirror standalone embedded types as safety measures for the entrance and exit of the parking lot in the condominium. When pulling out of the parking lot located behind the condominium, I couldn't see the sidewalk well due to the blind spots created by the block wall and the building. I was always worried that an accident might occur someday. We installed mirrors on both sides of the entrance; one on the block wall and the other in the planting area. Both have a simple design that does not detract from the appearance of the condominium. The previously blind sidewalk is now clearly visible.

Safety measures: Examples of mirror use for collision prevention in accommodation facilities.

It is very helpful for safety measures in the narrow corridors made cramped by guests' luggage. (Hotel Gracery Shinjuku)

We would like to introduce the feedback from Hotel Gracery Shinjuku, which has implemented FF mirror corridors and Lami as safety measures in the hallways of their accommodation facilities. During the Safety and Health Committee meeting, a concern was raised that "guests' luggage is often in the hallway, making it narrow and likely to cause collisions." Initially, we had installed the 'FF Mirror Corridor Left and Right (FT22),' but there was a request to increase the size of the mirrors, so we changed to the 'FF Mirror Corridor Left and Right (FT46).' Additionally, due to the high volume of luggage in the hallways and the frequent foot traffic from employees and vendors, we also introduced 'Lami (L5)' as a safety measure this time. As a result of installing the mirrors, it seems that almost all staff members now check the mirrors to confirm that no one is coming from the sides, and the likelihood of collisions has significantly decreased.

[Case Study of Safety Mirrors] Want to cover the blind spot on the left side when exiting.

Reducing the stress of safety checks! Covering blind spots beyond protruding walls with convex mirrors.

Here is a case study of the safety mirror proposed by Shin'ei Bussan. At a certain dental clinic in Higashi-Osaka City, there was a protruding wall on the left side of the parking lot entrance, making it very dangerous as it was impossible to see approaching pedestrians. The installation location for the mirror was also limited, creating a very challenging situation. By securing a pole to the handrail at the clinic's entrance and installing the mirror at a high position, we were able to create an angle that completely covered the blind spot. [Implementation Case] ■ Effects - The elimination of blind spots reduced the stress of safety checks and helped prevent accidents. ■ Products Introduced - Stainless Steel Mirror S-3W - Pole B-5W *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Mirror Introduction Case] Strengthening Safety at Corners!

It helped enhance safety at the corner. The FF mirror can be installed at eye level, allowing blind spots to be naturally visible. (Nippon Steel Setouchi Works)

We would like to introduce the voice of Nippon Steel Corporation, Setouchi Works, who implemented the FF mirror corridor. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… The mirrors that were previously installed at blind corners were positioned too high, making them easy to overlook. Therefore, we decided to install the FF mirrors, which provide a wide-angle view on a flat surface, at a lower height, allowing them to naturally catch the eye (FT46 at 3 locations). This has strengthened our safety measures. We are currently considering additional measures for other areas that require attention. [Mirror Introduction Case] Preventing collisions at the bottom of the stairs!

This mirror is very nice. You can check for people coming from the other side of the hallway while going down the stairs. (Asahi Kasei Kawasaki Manufacturing Plant)

We would like to introduce the feedback from Asahi Kasei Kawasaki Manufacturing Plant, which has implemented the FF mirror corridor. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… I often move between the first and second floors for work, and there were many times when I almost collided with someone coming from the other side of the corridor right after descending the stairs, which was quite alarming. When I consulted with the safety department, they provided a solution with a mirror. This mirror allows me to see across the corridor from the stairs, and it also enables me to see people coming down from the top of the stairs when I'm in the corridor, which is very helpful. [Mirror Introduction Case] Ensuring safe passage for forklifts!

We would like to introduce a case where blind spots have been eliminated, allowing forklifts to pass through safely! (Totez Maintenance)

We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of "Rami," handled by Komi Corporation, at Tōtetsu Maintenance. There were blind spots in the warehouse where forklifts could potentially collide, so we decided to install mirrors. Since there was no need to see the upper area, we chose our product that provides a 180° view of the lower area. When there were no mirrors, we had to proceed slowly and visually check the blind spots. Now, by looking at the mirrors, we can predict that "there are no forks in the direction of travel, and none are approaching," allowing for safe passage. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Mirror Implementation Case] Installation of mirrors for the safe transport of patients.

We installed mirrors in five locations within the hospital! Here is a case study on how we have made safe transportation possible (Former NTT West Japan Tokai Hospital).

We would like to introduce a case where the mirrors handled by Komi Corporation were implemented at NTT West Japan Tokai Hospital. Among the patients, there are those with weak muscle strength or difficulty stabilizing their footing, which raises concerns that collisions could lead to falls. To prevent fall accidents and ensure the safe transport of patients, we installed 'FF Mirror Corridors (for left and right)/Lami/Lami Dome/Lami Corner' in five locations within the hospital. As a result, we received feedback stating, "There is a significant difference in peace of mind with the mirrors compared to without. Since the mirrors were installed, the staff has become more attentive and can now transport patients safely." [Mirror Implementation Case] Strengthening Safety and Sanitation Measures in Restaurants!

Chinese cuisine close to 100℃. Here is an example of installing a mirror to ensure safe transportation (Ginza Aster Kamata Hinkan).

We would like to introduce a case where the mirrors we handle were implemented at Ginza Aster Kamata Hinkan. Chinese cuisine, which often contains a lot of oil and has a thick consistency, can reach temperatures close to 100°C. As a result, those carrying the dishes may spill hot food on themselves while trying to avoid collisions, even if they don't actually bump into anything, leading to a high risk of serious burns. Additionally, the kitchen area contains many sharp knives and angular stainless steel surfaces that require careful attention. Although we have always prioritized safety and hygiene, we felt the need to strengthen our measures and installed the mirrors. After installing our "FF Mirror Passage," we received feedback such as, "Unlike regular mirrors, they reflect widely, allowing us to see people's movements from the front," and "There have been no collision accidents in the approximately six months since installation." [Case Overview] ■ Product Used: FF Mirror Passage (one-sided) ■ Effects - Provides a wide reflection, allowing visibility of people's movements from the front - No collision accidents have occurred in the approximately six months since installation *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

We would like to introduce a case study of the 'FF Mirror Corridor (for left and right use)' handled by Komi Corporation, implemented at Shibuya Cast. During site patrols to identify hazardous areas in the facility, we witnessed a "near miss" where a customer almost collided with another person near the entrance of the restroom. In the installation process, adjustments were made such as selecting "large mirrors that are easy for the elderly to see" and ensuring "that people can be seen in the mirror from a child's eye level." We are also considering additional installations in other restrooms where mirrors have not yet been set up to further enhance safety. [Case Overview] ■ Implementing Company: Shibuya Cast ■ Implemented Product: FF Mirror Corridor (for left and right use) ■ Results: Adjustments were made, and we are considering additional installations in other restrooms where mirrors have not yet been set up to further enhance safety. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Mirror Implementation Case] Collision Prevention in Hallways! Installed at the Eye Level of Wheelchair Users

To prevent collisions in the hallway! An example of installing mirrors at a low position for wheelchair users (Tokyo Business Services).

We would like to introduce a case where Komi Corporation's "FF Mirror Corridor (One-Sided) / (Both-Sided)" was implemented at Tokyo Business Services. We had felt the need for collision prevention in corridors for some time, and the opportunity to implement it arose when we learned that another company in the same building had installed our mirrors. The mirrors can be installed at a height that suits the line of sight, so we set them slightly lower than usual to accommodate wheelchair users. In corridors with elevators and restrooms, we felt a sense of danger as employees would gather all at once during lunch breaks, but since the mirrors were installed, we can now anticipate when people are coming. There have been a series of tragic accidents where children have been caught and killed in mechanical parking lots. In response, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism issued guidelines to ensure that the situation inside the boarding and alighting area can be monitored from the control panel as a safety measure. In light of this, our company proposed a low-cost mirror that provides a wide view without making the image too small to a certain mechanical parking lot manufacturer. This has been helpful in preventing accidents. [Case Study] ■ Effects - Contributed to safety checks and increased safety awareness ■ Products Introduced - Half-spherical mirrors R-30H, R-50H, R-70 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study of Safety Mirrors] Want to improve the efficiency of vehicle inspections.

Improving work efficiency! Even if the mirror breaks, it can be replaced; using stainless steel for the fittings and back panel for long-lasting use.

We would like to introduce a case study of the safety mirror proposed by Shin Ei Bussan. At a certain railway company, during vehicle inspections, staff would disembark and walk around the vehicle to check the headlights. To improve inspection efficiency, they considered installing mirrors and requested a design that was "as compact as possible due to strong winds" and "usable outdoors for about 10 to 15 years." We proposed a mirror with stainless steel plates and brackets that are resistant to rust and ensure strength. Since its installation, it has been used without any issues and requires no maintenance. [Implementation Case] ■ Effects - Improved work efficiency and long-lasting use due to rust-resistant stainless steel ■ Product Introduced - SSG-30B *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
